Father Dara joined the Parish of St. Mark’s in August 2025. Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading on rainy days, savouring large cups of tea, and cooking. As our Assistant Curate, Father Dara is learning how to be a priest and work in the Church. As a cradle Anglican, she loves the “smells and bells” of the High Church tradition and enjoys incorporating Anglican liturgy and tradition into everyday life. Father Dara is a Chaplain Candidate in the Canadian Armed Forces, which she joined in 2018. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Justice Studies and a Master of Divinity and is a certified Death Doula. She is also a retired hairdresser and makeup artist. Father Dara deeply loves the Sacraments and practices of the Church and hopes that she can make you love them too. She delights in the ministry and life of God’s Church and welcomes everyone to God’s table.
