Reverend David Taylor

Reverend David Taylor joined us as Rector of St Mark Ocean Park in September 2023. We are truly blessed to have David and his family as members of our parish family at St Marks.

David has grown in the Anglican tradition having a background in the pentecostal church.

He has degrees from Summit Pacific Bible College in Abbotsford, Regent College in Vancouver and the Vancouver School of Theology.

He is married with two adopted children.

David’s passion is to re-connect people to the Scripture and the depth of the spiritual history of Christianity.

David is both Spiritual and Religious. He delights in the personal spiritual journey of the heart and he works to ensure the marginalised are cared for.

Maryellen Gallo – Administrative Assistant

Maryellen joined St. Mark’s in June 2024 as the Administrative Assistant. She has a Certified Financial Planning designation and has an extensive Financial Services background.

Maryellen was born and raised in the West Kootenays and has lived in the lower mainland for many years.

Some of her interests are playing duplicate bridge, piano, gardening, classic cars and her cat, Marco.

Sarah Autio

As a cradle Anglican, Sarah grew up in the Anglican Church, and has many fond memories and cherished experiences from her time in youth groups in various parishes in the diocese.  Now as the Youth Leader at St Mark Ocean Park Anglican Church, Sarah’s goal is to facilitate opportunities for youth to connect and grow in their faith, in our church and out in our community.

Heather Higginson

Heather was born in Morris Minnesota, attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota and in 1993 graduated with a Bachelor of Science in veterinary technology. She worked in this field for over 13 years before pursuing massage therapy training.

Heather is currently the custodian at St Mark’s and is self-employed as a house cleaner. Heather moved to BC and married her husband Geoff in 2006. They have 2 children.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and joined St Mark’s Ocean Park in 2013. Heather is also active in St Mark’s Childrens’ Ministry.
