April 7 Sunday 2 p.m.—SINGING IN THE RAIN—matinee performance at the Massey Theatre in New Westminster tickets available: $55 for seniors including bus transportation. Sue will have tickets available for payment and pick-up January 15.
May 28–30 Tuesday —ANNUAL VANCOUVER ISLAND TRIP-leave St. Marks on Denny’ Magical Bus early to catch the 9 a.m. ferry to Schwartz Bay—11:30 a.m. Tea at Butchart Gardens followed by self-guided tour of the beautiful gardens. For anyone with mobility issues, wheelchairs are available at the gardens but you will need to have someone to push the chair as they are manual. Also, for those on a gluten free diet, a delicious gluten free tea will be served. Check in at Days Inn on the inner Harbour of Victoria after 4 p.m. Evening free to rest or amuse yourself. Free time in the morning on May 29 with check out at 11 a.m. Board the bus by 11:30 and enjoy a leisurely drive over the Malahat to Chemainus where we’ll check in at the Best Western Plus before having dinner at the theatre at 5 p.m.. followed by the evening performance of MAMA MIA. After a wonderful sleep at our hotel, enjoy the complimentary hot breakfast, perhaps a leisurely swim in the pool with a time in the hot tub. Check out is at 11 a.m. when we shall board the bus for a relaxing trip home on the Duke Point—Tswassen Ferry. Everything is included except one dinner(Tuesday evening) and breakfast at the Days Inn—but there is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. The cost for this trip because we will be travelling in the high season will be $500 per person double occupancy; $700 per person single occupancy. As all hotels and events must be paid for in full by mid-February, please contact Sue asap if you are interested and pay a deposit of $500 by February 10, 2019. The bus accommodates 24 passengers and a number of folks have signed up with deposit already!
