Savvy Seniors Update – May 13, 2017

BARD ON THE BEACH in Vancouver—MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING—2 P.M. Sunday, June 18 I need to order tickets now so please contact Sue asap. Cost will be $50 for ticket and bus transportation. This will be Shakespeare in a modern setting.

BARD ON THE BEACH in Vancouver—A WINTER’S TALE— p.m. Sunday, July 9. Again i need to order tickets now so please contact me if you are interested in attending. We shall take our own lunches and leave directly after church.

BRITANNIA MINE MUSEUM—Saturday. July 8—leaving church at 9 a.m., cost $75 per person includes bus, entry ticket and picnic lunch.

THEATRE UNDER THE STARS—August 13, 8 p.m. —THE DROWSY CHAPERONE-with wonderful music of the 20’s and 30’s. cost $55 includes ticket and bus transportation which is filling up fast! If you are thinking of coming, sign up now!

OVERNIGHT TRIP TO CHEMAINUS—September 19-20, Tuesday and Wednesday to see JEEVES TAKES A BOW at the theatre in Chemainus. Leaving the church early on Tuesday morning we take the mid-island ferry to Duke Point, have a bit of a tour to Coombs and arrive at the Best Western for 4 p.m. There we have a lovely buffet breakfast included and buffet lunch at the theatre before seeing the play. Then we return home relaxed and refreshed! Cost -$275 with 2 sharing room, $80 more for single supplement.

SURREY ARTS CLUB PLAYS for the 2017-18 season at the Surrey Arts Centre—MOM’S THE WORD 3-NEST 1/2 EMPTY in October; MISERY- based on a Stephen King novel in January and ONEGIN in February. Cost $114 for all 3 plays and if numbers permit we shall try to have bus transportation, otherwise we’ll just go by car. Need to order tickets now to get our same seats as last year. We shall go to a 4 p.m. matinee. Let me know if you are interested in attending.
