Savvy Seniors Update – February 27, 2017

WINE-TASTING AND LUNCH—Domain de Chaberton—Thursday, March 16 leaving church at 10:45 a.m. Cost for 3-course brunch followed by a 45 minute tour of the winery and wine tasting is $34 plus bus if Denny is able to transport us. Otherwise we shall travel by car. Do plan to be at the church for 10:45 regardless of mode of transportation! If you do not wish to do the tasting, there will be a discount of $5.

SURREY CIVIC THEATRE COFFEE AND CONCERT—Three’s A Crowd—11 a.m. Thursday, March 23—last of the season!-one ticket available -cost$16.50. We travel by car so if you need a ride please call Sue

ANYTHING GOES—ROYAL CITY MUSICAL SOCIETY—Sunday Matinee 2 p.m. April 23—cost $50 includes ticket and bus ride from the church leaving at 12:30 p.m. so have a snack with your coffee after church to be ready to leave. If you do not need the bus ride, cost is $33 for ticket only. It is the final performance and promises to be very good!

PACIFIC SHOWTIME CHORUS-Denny’s wonderful singing group will be presenting their own original production-PRIVATE EYES-A MUSICAL MYSTERY on June 3, 7:30 p.m. at Ocean Park Hall and also on June 10, 7:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion on 128th Street. These events will sell out as they have previous years so let Sue know if you want to go. We shall try our best to provide car transportation! Cost is usually under $20 per ticket.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING—Bard on the Beach, 1950’s setting of this Shakespeare play—hopefully a matinee performance in June—more details later but do let us know if you are interested! We shall have bus transportation for this event.

               THEATRE UNDER THE STARS in late July—don’t know the shows yet but we have gone every year and had a good time

              Day trip to BRITANNIA MINE MUSEUM with a picnic lunch and tour of this exciting and historic site—entry cost is $29 for

              adults and $26.50 for seniors.
